Quote price comparison with totals you can actually compare

Quote price comparison goes wrong for a reason that has nothing to do with price: a box of 12 and a single unit are not the same line, and freight is bundled into one quote and not the other. Upload the quotes however they arrived — PDF, Excel, or a table pasted into an email — and get one table with each supplier's true total cost, already normalized.

01

Why the cheapest quote is usually not the cheapest

The line that looks cheapest is often priced per unit while its neighbour is priced per box, or quoted in another currency, or excludes a freight charge the other one absorbed. Every line is mapped to a standard item first — units, currencies, SKUs and packaging reconciled — so the totals being compared are the same shape.

02

Send the quotes however they arrived

CSV, XLSX, or a table pasted straight out of an email body. Duplicate lines are detected, bundles are split into their parts, and fees are reconciled into the totals rather than left in a footnote nobody reads.

03

When price is not the only thing that decides

Set preferred suppliers, weight lead time or quality against cost, and define what happens on a tie. The rules are written once and applied the same way to every comparison after that, which is what makes two buyers reach the same answer.

04

The approval pack your finance lead will ask for

A summary of which supplier won and why, the assumptions behind the normalization, the change log, and the source quotes attached. The record exists whether or not anyone questions the decision six months later.

05

Where teams put it to work

Seasonal buying, where logistics surcharges decide the margin. MRO sourcing, where part numbers never match between suppliers. Software renewals, where the per-seat price hides the tier change. Same mechanism, different mess.

06

Run it on your next set of quotes

It installs as a blueprint — a prebuilt workflow you run rather than build, with no integration work first. If something in your quote format breaks it, a real engineer on the AgentUI team fixes it with you; every paid plan includes that.
