What a food inventory in the cloud keeps track of

The item, in your units

Cases, kilos, each, or all three for the same product. A 6×2 kg case of chicken thigh comes out of the freezer as one case and into prep as 12 kg, without anybody doing the arithmetic twice.

Lot code and expiry date

Each delivery is its own batch with its own date. The list sorts oldest first, so the pan gets filled from the lot that expires Thursday rather than the case at the front of the shelf.

Where it physically is

Walk-in, freezer, dry store, prep kitchen, second location. Counting one area does not mean recounting the rest, and the totals across sites add up on their own.

Who it came from, and what it cost

Supplier, invoice, unit cost per delivery. When the same product arrives at two prices in one week, both are on the record instead of averaged away in a formula.

Get full visibility into your entire inventory

The list knows every batch's date, so it can show you a single screen of what expires in the next seven days, sorted by how soon and by how much of it you are holding. That screen is what turns a Thursday special into a decision instead of a discovery.

Counts happen where the product is. The list opens in a browser on the phone already in someone's apron pocket, so the number goes in at the shelf instead of being written on a clipboard and typed up an hour later, which is where most of the errors come from.

Not just food? Build an inventory app for any kind of stock

Answer questions on the go, or from your computer

Every count, every receipt and every adjustment carries the name of the person who made it and the time they made it. When a supplier calls about lot L-2291, you can see where it was delivered, what was made from it and what is still on the shelf.

Access is per person, not per file. The receiver can log deliveries without seeing costs, a site manager sees only their own location, and the owner sees everything across all of them.

What free actually means here, and what it does not

The free plan is a real plan

One member, three projects and a working app — not a seven-day trial that locks. Paid plans start at $25 a month for one person and $49.99 for a team of two, printed on the pricing page.

You do not need a clean list to start

Bring whatever you have: an order guide, a supplier sheet, a photo of the shelf labels. Describe what a count looks like today and the first version is built around that.

It changes when your menu does

New product, new unit, a second freezer, a location that closes. You ask for the change in a sentence, rather than waiting for whoever configured the system last year.

Nothing gets installed

It is a link in a browser, on the phone, the tablet by the receiving door, and the office computer. No back-office PC that one person has the password to.
